UniCare Health Insurance Insurance for 20 Somethings

Sunday, December 30th, 2007

The fact is too many individuals are uninsured between the ages of 19-29.  UniCare has come up with an orginal solution to this staggering statistic in it’s UniCare Sound Plan.  It is uncomplicated  and undisguised, just as the brisk-paced, instant gratification generation of 20 somethings prefer things.

The UniCare Sound Plan offers easy online applications with automated underwriting.  It is all there online for them, because that is where they are!  Owning a health insurance plan at this age is very appealing.  It gives them a sense of independence.  Problem is most health insurance plans have a complicated enrollment process, complex benefits and time consuming underwriting, this approach does not work for the 20 somethings.

The UniCare Sound plan offers benefits that the younger generation are looking for.  The rates include dental, medical and vision benefits all in one little compact plan.  Typical rates are from $60-$114.  The plan includes unlimited office visits for only $40 and no need to worry about additional bills for labs, they are included if done the same day in the office (which most physicians will accomadate).  The UniCare Sound Plan emphasizes preventative care as well paying 100% and waiving the deductible.  Also, traditional PPO plans include large out of pocket cost due to deductibles and co insurance (something this generation pay attention to) so the UniCare plan eliminated the co insurance so the total out of pocket is only the deductible.  The 20 somethings are all about spending the extra money on their futures so this is very appealing to them.

I often hear a 20 something say I would like a plan that tells me exactly what I will need to pay and no surprises in the mail.  Most live on a set budget so this is very important to them.   So it makes perfect since that UniCare came up with the UniCare Sound plan when they decided to target this age group of uninsureds.

UniCare Health Insurance Dental Care

Friday, December 21st, 2007
  1. UniCare Health Insurance offers dental options that meet the important need for good oral health.  It was not until a friend of mine, whom did not have dental covergae, that I realized how my UniCare Health Insurance  was so very important to me.  My friend did not have health insurance plan that covered dental and ended up with a costly procedure needing to be done, that she just could not afford.  Had she had UniCare Health Insurance she would have paid just a fraction of the cost of the procedure.   Not only that, but UniCare covers 2 annual cleanings each and every year that could have prevented her costly procedure in the first place!  Regular dental care is important to your overall health as well.  I do not think enough people realize this.  UniCare makes it clear to their members that oral health is an essential part of health and wellness.   Research continues to show that there are links between periodontal disease and some very serious health conditions, which include osteoprosis, heart disease, stroke, low birth weight pregnancy, respiratory infections and diabetes.   UniCare Health Insurance gives UniCare memebers access to quality care , a wide range of dental services, no waiting periods for preventative, diagnostic and basic care (the yearly deductable is even waived for the preventative services).  UniCare gives UniCare members  freedom to choose any dentist.  Of course if you  choose one of UniCare’s contracted dentist you will have substantial savings.  UniCare even provides a dentist referral service free of charge if your current dentist is not contracted.  This was great for me since my dentist was out of network.  All I had to do was call the UniCare Dental Service Name, give my doctors information and UniCare did the rest and before I knew it my dentist was a In Network dentist on my Unicare Health Insurance plan.   My friend now has her own UniCare Health Insurance plan and takes advantage of the wonderful benefits as I do and she never stops thanking me for introducing her to UniCare Health Insurance plans.
